Why attend DISD: This meeting allows professional DataFlex developers to meet and share their knowledge with each other. VDF developers have common interests and a bond, but largely are isolated except at these meetings. Much of the fun is finding out what is happening in our "industry", sharing creations, and avoiding the downside of being on the leading edge of information technology.
The Agenda: A three-day agenda of topics is organized by the DISD board and presented by a variety of industry experts. Key people from Data Access Worldwide join in to enrich the discussions and provide input on the directions for the DataFlex Community. A DISD meeting is always much more than just presentations. In many ways the presentations are there to create the basis for the real value of DISD which is to create a highly interactive event. These interactions occur, not only during the formal presentations, but are an essential part of the entire weekend. Where & what it costs: The Dataflex International Software Developers Conference well be held in Dallas, Texas October 8-10 at the Holiday Inn Select Dallas-North (Galleria Area). The conference costs $395 until September 15, and then the price increases to $450. Hotel accomodations are not included. DISD has arranged for a special group rate of $79/night/room.
