Now, with the creation of a Visual DataFlex Library and special licensing policies, Dynamic AI’s business intelligence can be fully integrated with Visual DataFlex applications. This presentation will show the potential using Dynamic AI with the wrapper classes, provide examples of Visual DataFlex + Dynamic AI integration and describe the new, low-cost licensing available to developers to enable the wide use of this powerful combination.

11:00 a.m. GIS (graphical information system) integration with VDF

We have done some pretty extensive work in terms of GIS (graphical information system) integration with VDF.We’ve embedded an active-x browser control that allows web towin32 (VDF) communication, and a dedicated web application which is served up via 3rd Party ASP.NET based GIS components. Essentially, we can show how the VDF application (which uses docking panes),communicates back and forth with the embedded web application, and how the VDF tabular data app works with the GIS (graphical information system) data intensive process.

SQL Utilities

Execution plans and their usefulness. Why to avoid embedded SQL (They don’t generate execution plans). Using SQL Server reports like Object Execution Statistics) to inform you of how your system is behaving. Example ( I can show you how to bring a server to a crawl with the wrong kind of join). How to look for blocking transactions. Show an item changer based totally on stored procedures.

2:30 p.m. VDF SIG Codejock Report Control
Presented by: Coby Sparks, J.Renee’ by Remac and Chuck Atkinson, ????
See two different applications based on the Codejock Active-X Report Control. One application is directly connected to the data while the other application imports data utilizing the csv import method. The applications also use other parts of the library such as progress bars and property panels.
